The Long Island Round Up (LIRU) celebrates another year of recovery, unity, and service for the LGBT community and all of our friends & family. The serene setting of Long Island offers many opportunities for fellowship in a relaxed and tranquil environment. Our 2011 Roundup will consist of AA & Alanon workshops, activities, and live theatre that will deepen your sense of fellowship among us. Long Island Round Up Statement of Purpose - Article I of the Long Island Round Up By-Laws: The Long Island Round Up of Alcoholics Anonymous (hereafter referred to as LIRU) is an incorporated, non-profit organization of Gay Men and Lesbian Women who join together to organize an annual convention to be known as The Long Island Round-Up, a two to three day conference of alcoholics which in observing the Twelve Traditions of AA shall offer workshops, information and social affairs which are intended not only to carry the message of AA but also to convey the spirit of joy, of friendship, of strength, hope and experience among those who share our special interest, ever remembering by our Twelfth Tradition to place principles before personalities.
